St Peter's Cricket Club is based in the heart of the city of Brighton and Hove. Preston Park Cycle Track, which has been home to the club for over 130 years, is one of the finest urban cricketing locations in Sussex.
We have five adult teams participating in Saturday league ranging from the first eleven playing in Division 1 of the East Sussex Cricket League to the brand new fifth eleven who have entered into Division 12 of the same league for the first time in 2016. There is also a Sunday eleven who play friendly cricket at various locations in throughtout the county during the course of the summer. We also have a woman's eleven who compete against other local teams in the county.
Membership of our club is open to everyone, so if you would like to play in one of our teams or watch cricket in Brighton, why not consider joining, or just come down to the ground on match days and support your local team.
We welcome players of all abilities / gender and ages, and if you don't want to play but perhaps wish to do a spot of umpiring, scoring or just spectate then we would love to hear from you.
Those adult players wishing to get involved should contact the Senior Cricket Coordinator Graham Parker, who will provide you with details of how you can get involved. Winter nets are held from February at the Sussex County Cricket Club Indoor School and summer outdoor training will start at some point in April. Days and venue are yet to be confirmed.
Those parents wishing to get their child involved in junior cricket should get in touch with our Colts Cricket Coordinator Martyn Evans, who will provide information of how you can get involved.
Our main home ground is Preston Park, within the cycling track at the top end of the park accessed from Preston Drove. We have two squares that we maintain ourselves, an artificial pitch and the clubhouse which we have a long term lease agreement with Brighton & Hove City Council.
From 2016 due to the introduction of a fifth eleven some of the third, fourth and fifth eleven fixtures will be played at Firle Cricket Club so please check this if you are an opposition side.
